A recently filed patent suggests that Apple is planning on launching facial recognition software in a future version of the iOS. The patent outlines a way in which iOS devices might recognize the face of their owner, and how facial recognition could be used to unlock an iOS device or adjust its settings for any given user. It certainly looks like an interesting feature, and something we hope Apple develops. Though, do remember: not every patent is brought to life.
